He held various positions at Ciba-Geigy in Basel, at Roche Bioscience in Palo Alto, California where he became head of the in vivo pharmacology group and was responsible for supporting projects in rheumatology and respiratory diseases. In 1999, he was recruited as Director of Biology for Inflammation, GI and Pain at Parke-Davies, where he was heading Drug Discovery. In 2004, Dr. Bertrand joined AstraZeneca as Vice-President Discovery for Respiratory & Inflammation Research at Alderley Park, UK and in 2005 was appointed Global Senior Vice President for Respiratory & Inflammation Research Area overseeing R&D activities at three sites in the UK and Sweden. In 2009, Dr. Bertrand joined Ipsen, France, as Executive Vice-President, Chief Scientific Officer and was since June 2011, Executive Vice-President for R&D, Chief Scientific Officer with a focus on Oncology, Neurology and Endocrinology. Dr Bertrand has published more than 70 papers in peer-reviewed journals, has authored 20 chapters and has presented more than 100 communications at scientific meetings. Since 1996, he has been a visiting lecturer for Ph.D. student programs at Universities in London, Strasbourg, Nancy, Rennes, Orleans and Paris.

Executive Director of Research Institute and Global Head of External Research at Servier- In his rol… Read moree at Servier , Dr Christophe Thurieau is leading Servier’s Research centers and as head of external Research he is responsible for World Wide Research hubs to establish external strategic partnerships in R&D. Before joining Servier in April 2017 Dr Christophe Thurieau worked at Ipsen from 1996 to 2017. After different increasing roles and responsibilities within Research and Development at Ipsen, he was since 2009 President Ipsen Innovation and Senior Vice –President Global Scientific Affairs at Ipsen. He has authored more than 30 original research articles in international peer-reviewed scientific journal and holds 25 patents. Dr Christophe Thurieau obtained pre and post-doctoral training at Harvard medical school, Boston (U.S.) and received his Ph.D. in biochemistry from University Pierre and Marie Curie, Paris VI in 1988.

Dominique Brissy joined Servier as Financial Control Director in 2000 and was appointed Senior Executive Vice-President Finance & Information Systems of Servier in 2014. He is a member of the Executive Committee as well as a Vice President of the Servier International Foundation for Research (FIRS). Before joining Servier, Dominique Brissy worked at Fontarome, a food and beverage aroma company, from 1980 to 1999 where he assumed several operational responsibilities and was General Manager of the Aroma activities from 1992 to 1999. Dominique Brissy graduated in 1979 from SKEMA Business School (previously Lille’s ESC Business School).

In-house Lawyer, Director of Corporate law department at Servier- In his current role at Servier, Be… Read morenoit Chéron, with his team, is in charge of providing legal support to the Group to ensure that the Group remains independent under the control of its not-for-profit Foundation but also to accompany the Group in its growth through the setting up and maintenance of subsidiaries or through Mergers and Acquisitions. Before taking this position in 2012, Benoit Chéron has acquired a wide experience within the HQ legal department of the Servier Group which he joined in the year 2000 which include inter alia drafting and negotiation of complex commercial agreements and management and follow up of litigations. Benoit Chéron has been awarded with a DEA (LLM equivalent) in Contract Law at University Paris-Sud in 1999 and a diploma in International Relations and European Studies in the University of Kent (UK) in 1998.
