Symphogen is developing recombinant polyclonal antibodies (rpAb), a new class of antibody therapeutics for the treatment or prophylaxis of serious human diseases.

 

The development of rpAb presents a significant opportunity to select for both the diversity and specificity of the antibody mixture, thereby capturing the optimal characteristics of the natural human immune response. Their development also presents a number of unique challenges, including how to develop effective methods for discovering and producing rpAb.

 

Symphogen has developed two key technologies to overcome these challenges: Symplex™ is the antibody discovery platform, and Sympress™ is the rpAb manufacturing platform.
