The Cell Culture team is part of the Drug Substance Development department and currently consists of 4 scientists and 3 technicians. They are dedicated to advancing the therapeutic candidates through pre-clinical and clinical development, and eventually into commercial readiness.
In this role, you will lead early process development and be responsible for cell culture processes during the full development life cycle, until commercial readiness. You will enter a high degree of cross-functional collaboration both with your colleagues in Denmark and in France as well as with external CDMOs.
The position is classified as either Scientist or Senior Scientist depending on your seniority and qualifications.
With direct report to Team Manager of Drug Substance Development.
Your main tasks are:
- Development and optimization of cell culture processes for antibody expression
- Technical transfer to CDMOs for GMP manufacturing, and oversight of outsourced activities
- Collaborate with CDMOs as a subject matter expert regarding late-stage development and process validation
- Improvement and optimization of our development platform
- Writing and keeping regulatory documentation up to date
- Participate in the development of upstream processes for antibody expression suitable for GMP manufacturing
Required Qualifications
- Relevant education as cand.pharm, cand.scient. cand.polyt or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience with hands-on development of cell culture biopharmaceutical processes
- Experience with using DoE in process development
- Experience with the development of cell culture processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with writing regulatory registration documentation
- Experience with outsourcing/CDMO collaborations
- Experience with risk-based process characterization/validation of biopharmaceutical products toward commercial readiness
