Symphogen, the Antibody Center of Excellence within the Servier Group, is dedicated to developing antibody-based therapeutic products for treating cancer and neuroinflammatory diseases. Our Analytical Development department comprises 25 scientists and technicians and plays a crucial role in advancing our targets through lead selection, clinical development, and commercialization.
The vacant position is a 3-year temporary position in the Analytical Chemistry team, where we are seeking a candidate with experience within protein analysis to support method development, troubleshooting, process development, validation, stability studies, and more. As a Scientist in the Analytical Chemistry team, you will be a key player in an interdisciplinary project team.
Your main responsibilities will be within testing of samples from across our research and development programs in support of lead selection, process development as well as providing support for stability studies and formulation development. You will participate actively in development of analytical methods for testing of antibodies and presenting high-quality analytical data and interpretation hereof to facilitate science-driven decisions within the team and in cross-functional collaboration with colleagues from other departments in Symphogen, Servier and at CMOs. You will also be a key player within the analytical support team, where you will continuously contribute to innovate and advance our analytical capabilities and workflows in close collaboration with team scientists and technicians.
This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dedicated scientific team working in an innovative and important area within therapeutic antibodies. For us to support our broad range of projects and responsibilities we run a state-of-the-art laboratory equipped to handle all aspects of protein testing, using (U)HPLCs, iCIEF, CE-SDS, MS, MFI, CD, ELISA, DSC, DLS, and MALS.
The ideal candidate for this position has
- A scientific background within biochemistry, engineering or similar.
- 2-3 years of experience in protein chemistry and analysis.
- Profound experience with HPLC and/or CE.
- Experience with analytical techniques such as SEC, CIEX, RPC, HIC, and HILIC.
- Hands-on laboratory experience in general.
- Familiarity with other protein analysis techniques like MS or biophysical methods
