The position as scientist within pharmaceutical development offers a unique possibility to take part in development of Symphogen antibody products. The right candidate could be involved in formulation development, planning and execution of stability studies, and/or compatibility studies during early stage as well as late stage development.

The position is a 12-months maternity cover, and it is anchored in the Analytics and Formulation department within CMC. As a scientist you will be working with development of antibody-based drug products including preparation of documentation for the authorities. You will collaborate closely with staff from our CMC group and be a member of cross functional project teams, to ensure development progress. In addition, you will work with our external CMOs in support of e.g. initial formulation development or GMP stability studies.

The successful candidate is self-driven, highly motivated and thrive on a busy and diverse working environment. Candidates for either early stage or late-stage development are relevant. The ideal candidate for early-stage development has knowledge about physical and chemical properties of proteins. For this candidate experience with formulation development would be preferred. The ideal candidate for late-stage development is experienced within formulation development and development studies such as compatibility and robustness. You will be working in a non-GMP environment, but knowledge about GMP is preferred. 

Required Qualifications

  • Relevant education as cand.pharm., cand.scient., cand.polyt. or equivalent
  • Knowledge about physical and chemical properties of proteins
  • Strong communication and language skills, written and verbal (English)
  • Self-driven, highly motivated, team player with commitment, initiative and humor 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with formulation development of biopharmaceuticals
  • Experience with compatibility studies and/or extractable and leachable evaluation
  • Experience with GMP and regulatory requirements
  • Experienced in collaborating with CROs/CMOs
