Stability Scientist for Formulation & Stability

The position as stability scientist offers a unique possibility to take part in the development of Symphogen antibody products. The position is in the Analytics and Formulation department in CMC and the Formulation and Stability team currently employs two scientists.

In the Analytics and Formulation department we work with advancing our targets through lead selection and clinical development, and as a stability scientist you will be responsible for the successful execution of internal and external stability studies covering technical products as well as GMP materials of drug substance, drug product and reference materials. The responsibility will include CMO follow up, authoring and review of protocols and reports, trending of data and shelf-life assessment. As a part of the Formulation and Stability team and you will participate in defining our stability strategy from phase 1 to registration, and you will be an important member of the project team. As a team member, you will work in close collaboration with our analytical scientists and staff from Process Development, QA, Regulatory as well as colleagues in France, to ensure development progress of Symphogen’s antibody lead candidates.

The successful candidate is self-driven, highly motivated and thrive on a busy and diverse working environment. You prioritize and organize work assignments and processes in a lean manner, both independently as well as in teams. Knowledge about shelf life generating stability studies is a requirement and experience from analytical testing of biologics is an advantage. You will be working in a non-GMP environment, but knowledge about GMP is required. 

Required Qualifications

  • Relevant education as cand.pharm., cand.scient., cand.polyt. or equivalent
  • Knowledge of ICH stability studies for biopharmaceuticals
  • Knowledge of CMC development of biopharmaceuticals
  • Knowledge about GMP requirements
  • Strong communication and language skills, written and verbal (English)
  • Self-driven, highly motivated with humor and a team player mindset 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experienced in collaborating with CROs/CMOs
  • Experience with analytical testing of biopharmaceuticals
  • Experience with regulatory documentation
